First of all, there was clearly a miscommunication re: recent plot, the Western district, and so on.
I would like to state that in an RP, communication is key. You need to talk to each other in advance and figure things out in advance. That means, before stuff starts happening. Work out how stuff is going to go. I am an old hand at combat threads, and my usual mode of operation is to have it worked out with all players involved what the result of the combat is going to be. This way, no feelings are hurt.
I'd also like to state, again, that a character's power in this game is not very well related to how powerful they are in their canon. If things were related to canon power? Smaug should have been able to raze most of the city without a problem and might have done far better in a fight against Megatron; no, I'm not kidding. However, Megatron is here an Angelii. Power in the Wake is based on how long a character has been present in the game, how dedicated that character is to gaining power, and how much character development they go through. The first determines how much actual power a character has access to; the second how well they know how to use it; and the third is the determining factor in if a character is an Angelii or not.
A character might have access to a lot of power, but no idea HOW to access it or use it; a character might have great finesse due to practice but not a lot of overall power; a character might have excellent chardev, end up an Angelii, but not have either of the former.
But in any case, even if your character is a God in their canon, if they are three weeks old, they are going to get flattened by a character who has been here for a month or more.
ok that's over. Now to talk about organizing shit.
I'm thinking that we need some way to better organize events than just a heads up in OOC. I have a number of ideas, but no way to implement them; therefore, I turn to you, the players.
First: You keep talking about a wiki. I have neither the time, knowhow, nor patience to maintain a wiki, but wikis are generally fan-managed projects. So. One of you who knows more about managing a wiki go freaking do it already. I'll put it up in all the relevant places so people know it exists, but you need to do it. So go do it.
Second: Anyone know a free calendar application (something like google calendar?) that we could possibly use to set up tentative schedules of events? That way we can know when plots are going down and have a way to discuss them better.
Also, if you have any other comments, concerns, or suggestions, bring them up here. As we speak I am debating what to do about the whole "THE METAPLOT IS CONFUSING TO NEW PLAYERS AS IS THE SETTING INFO D: " and I have a solution, but I am waiting for input from my fellow moderators before implementing said solution.
